Trelles Salazar, Oswaldo

I'm industrial engineer by the Universidad Catolica of Peru, hold a M.Sc. degree in Computer Sciences by the Polytechnical University of Madrid; a Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering by the University of Málaga working on Parallel algorithms for biological sequences analysis in supercomputers, and recently I got a M.Sc. degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology also at the University of Malaga.

Currently I work as Associated Professor in the Department of Computer Architecture in the University of Málaga, teaching Fundamentals and Design of Operating Systems and Parallel applications in bioinformatics, in the Computer Science faculty. My main research interests include parallel paradigms for distributed and shared memory parallel computers; data mining and automatic knowledge discovering in biological and biomedical data and design and deplyment of software architectures for the integration of data and services in the bioinformatics field. I have also the pleasure to coordinate our BitLab group.
