Faster diagnosis and sharper identification of the optimal treatment for cancer patients
ACGT (Advancing Clinico Genomic Trials on Cancer) is an Integrated Project supported by the European Commission under the Action Line "Integrated biomedical information for better health". The high level objective is the development of methods and systems for improved medical knowledge discovery and understanding through integration of biomedical information. ACGT focuses on the domain of Cancer research and it aims at the development of an integrated Grid-enabled platform in support of post-genomic, multi-centric Clinical Trials. The driving motivation behind the project is to improve our ability to provide faster and sharper diagnosis and early identification of the optimal treatment for each patient.
