FRAGENOMICS
FRAGENOMICS: Genetical Genomics for strawberry fruit quality and plant tolerance to fungal pathogens.
This Project will focus on the development of genomic tools in olive for the identification of characters associated to fruit and oil composition (organoleptic, and functional properties), as well as in desirable agronomical traits related to more efficient production (length of juvenile period, and tree vigour and canopy architecture). The Project will take advantage of the wide and underexploited natural variability available for cultivated and wild varieties in the olive species maintained in the Word Olive Bank of Germplasm (WOBG), as well as from selected varieties and crosses already available from previous breeding programmes carried out by some of the participants in this project.
